Nutrition is the the good food for living cells and organisms to survive with the purpose to propagate itself. Nutrition is the basis of all healthy life. You can get good nutrition through proper healthy diet.

  • macronutrients. This group is consist of protein, carbohydrate and fats

  • micronutrients. This group consist of vitamins, mineral, essential fatty acids and enzymes

A poor nutrition guide can have a bad impact on health. It can cause nutrition deficiency disease such as scurvy, kwashiorkor, anemia, growth impairment, beriberi, mental disorder, metabolic syndrome and so on. The proper nutrition diet is needed to keep up our health without facing frequent sickness and disease.

 

In one part of China, the remote community rarely develop any sickness right up to old age with their diet consist of vegetables, fruits and whole grains. A research group funded by National Geographic studied 3 distinct populations: the Sardinians, the Okinawans and the Adventists. They generally live longer, suffer less with the modern world disease and enjoy more healthy years of life with the same diet as the Chinese remote community. They believe in fruits, vegetables and whole grains diet.

 

In modern world, dietitians are the professional nutritionist who draw up diet for patients to follow. A well nourished diet is define as:

  • a balance between energy used and energy consume as food

  • limiting the consumption of saturated fats and shift to unsaturated fat. At any expense, eliminate trans fat consumption at all expense

  • increase consumption of fruits, vegetables and nuts

  • reduce and limit sugar especially glucose base

  • reduce and limit salt and sodium. Preferably salt source is iodized salt

  • complete amino acids (protein)

  • complete micronutrients as suggested above

  • enough water to keep hydrated. A standard guideline is to have 1ml per calorie per day. For men, add 30%. For pregnant or breast feeding women add 40% of the recommended allowances.
