Ovarian Cancer Is No Longer Fatal Soon. Breakthrough In Blood Test Shows Them All.

Ovarian Cancer Is Detectable At An Even Earlier Stage To Provide Better Treatment.

Ovarian Cancer Blood Test

Ovarian Cancer which used to be one of the most deadliest cancer is now a thing of the past. Recent breakthrough in blood test show that Ovarian Cancer is detectable with the accuracy rate of 90% when combined with ultrasound scan.

According to a group of researchers from University College London who did a study on 200,000 women, ultrasound scan alone on Ovarian Cancer is only 75% effective. Test will become more effective when a special blood test of CA125 is done to look for a special compound produced by the Ovarian Tumor.

The ovarian tumor produces the compound similar to pregnancy, benign ovarian cysts, endometriosis and pelvic inflammatory but in a smaller dose. The difference in compound concentration in the CA125 test is the key to better and more precise diagnostic of the cancer concern.

The compound test is effective in detecting ovarian tumor even at the early stage 1 and stage 2 phases. This is the critical stage for any Ovarian Cancer Patient to be diagnosed and way better chance for them to seek early treatment.

According to Lancet Oncology, both blood test and ultrasound scan are able to identify up to 34 out of 38 cases of ovarian cancer being developed compare to 24 out of 32 cases with only using ultrasound scans alone.
